Serenity Worlds Privacy Policy

1 The security of user data is paramount

Serenity Worlds respects the privacy of all users of the website or online store (hereinafter referred to as "the customer" or "customers"). This Privacy Policy sets forth the basis on which Serenity Worlds processes personal information and discloses the types of user information collected from customers by Serenity Worlds, how Serenity Worlds uses such information, and the rights to which customers are entitled. Serenity Worlds complies with applicable data protection laws and processes personal data solely for the purposes for which the data was submitted.

This Privacy Policy may be amended, supplemented or modified from time to time. With each new call or visit to the website, the current, retrievable version applies.

In the event of any inconsistency between this Privacy Policy and any otherwise applicable contractual or business terms of Serenity Worlds, the provisions of this Privacy Policy shall prevail.

2 Nature and Purpose of the Data Collected

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the term "personal data" or "personal information" includes information from which customers can be personally identified.

Processing of personal data means any handling of personal data, such as collecting, using, storing, disclosing, transmitting or deleting the data.

On the one hand, Serenity Worlds collects personal data automatically when the customer interacts with the website or uses the online store. On the other hand, personal data is collected automatically or manually when a customer provides it (e.g., by contacting us, creating a user profile or customer account).

2.1 Data that is collected automatically

When visiting the Serenity Worlds website, statistical visitor data is automatically collected about which parts of the website are visited by the customer. Each time a web page is called up, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file, which contains, for example, the name of the requested file, the customer's IP address, the date and time of the call-up, the browser used, the operating system, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the call-up. In this context, it is sometimes necessary to use so-called cookies (see section 4 below).

This access data is evaluated exclusively for the purpose of ensuring trouble-free operation of the site and improving our offer.

2.2 Data, when interacting with Serenity Worlds for contract execution, contacting and opening a customer account.

Serenity Worlds does not automatically collect personal information from customers, such as a customer's name, address, telephone number or email address.

On the other hand, personal data is collected from customers when a customer voluntarily provides it as part of an order or when contacting Serenity Worlds (e.g., via contact form or e-mail). Mandatory fields are marked as such, as Serenity Worlds in these cases the data is mandatory for the contract, or to process the contact and without their information the order or the contact can not be sent. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms.

If a customer decides to open a customer account, Serenity Worlds uses the personal data for the purpose of opening the customer account. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full, otherwise Serenity Worlds may reject the registration. Serenity Worlds uses the collected personal data only for the purpose of using the online store or the particular offer or service for which the customer has registered. In addition, Serenity Worlds may use the customer's e-mail address to inform the customer of important changes, such as to the scope of the offer, or of technically necessary changes.

After complete execution of the contract or after deletion of the customer account, the customer's data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after expiration of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless the customer has expressly consented to further use of the data or Serenity Worlds reserves the right to use the data in a manner that goes beyond this and is permitted by law. The deletion of the customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact details given below (see section 9 below) or by using a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.

3 Legal basis for the collection and processing of personal data

The legal basis for the collection and processing of the customer's personal data depends in each individual case on the purpose of the data processing. In question are namely:

1. the protection of the legitimate interests of Serenity Worlds, provided that the interests of the customer or fundamental rights or freedoms are not unreasonably impaired;
2. the conclusion or performance of a contract; or
3. consent of the customer at the time the personal data is collected. The Customer may revoke its consent at any time. For this purpose, the customer may send a message to this effect to the contact details described below. The legality of the data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

4 Use of cookies and use of the data

4.1 Cookies

Serenity Worlds may use cookies to continually improve its web presence for customers. Cookies are small pieces of software information that are stored on the customer's computer hard drive by web browsers (e.g., Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox) to facilitate the use of the website (e.g., language selection, shopping cart, etc.).

Some of the cookies used by Serenity Worlds are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. after the web browser is closed (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on the end device and allow Serenity Worlds to recognize the customer's web browser on the next visit (so-called persistent cookies). The duration of storage can be found in the overview in the cookie settings of the web browser.

Most web browsers automatically accept such cookies, but web browsers can be configured not to accept or store cookies. However, if cookies are disabled, the functionality of the website may be limited. For details, please refer to the operating instructions or the help function of the web browser.

4.2 Use of data

The anonymized data collected by cookies when you visit the Serenity Worlds website may be used for web analytics, website optimization and performance measurement. Serenity Worlds may use third party vendors for this purpose, some of which may have their own privacy policies over which Serenity Worlds has no control.

Serenity Worlds uses features of the following web analytics services:

Google Analytics
The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google evaluates the use of the website in order to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services to Serenity Worlds related to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by the customer's web browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

The information generated by cookies about the use of the website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google observes the data protection provisions of the "Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield" agreement and has registered with the U.S. Department of Commerce for the "Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield" (information on the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield can be found at https://www.privacyshield.gov/Swiss-US-Privacy-Shield-FAQs).

Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking
The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Within the framework of Google Ads, Serenity Worlds uses the so-called conversion tracking. When the customer clicks on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days at the latest and are not used to identify the customer. If the customer visits Serenity Worlds' website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and Serenity Worlds can recognize that the customer clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page.

Serenity Worlds learns from Google the total number of users who clicked on the ad and were redirected to a website tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, Serenity Worlds does not receive any information that can personally identify the customer.

Google Maps 
The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Serenity Worlds uses Google Maps to visually display geographic information. When using Google Maps, Google transmits or processes data about the use of the Maps features by website visitors, which may include, in particular, IP address and location data. Serenity Worlds has no influence on this data processing.

Insofar as information is transferred to Google servers in the USA and stored there, the American company Google LLC is certified under the "Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield".

In order to deactivate the Google Maps service and thus prevent the transfer of data to Google, a customer must deactivate the Java Script function in the web browser. In this case, Google Maps cannot be used or can only be used to a limited extent.

4.3 Social Media Content

Serenity Worlds may use social media plugins from social networks such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter on the website.

When the customer accesses a website that contains such a plugin, the web browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective social network. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to the web browser by the respective provider and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugins, the providers receive the information that the customer's web browser has accessed the corresponding Serenity Worlds website, even if the customer does not have a profile with the corresponding social network or is not currently logged in. This information (including the IP address) is sent directly from the customer's web browser to a server of the respective provider (possibly in the USA)and stored there. If the customer is logged into one of the services, the providers of the social network can directly assign the visit to the Serenity Worlds website to the profile in the respective social network. If the customer interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like" or the "Share" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the providers and stored there. The information is also published on the social network and displayed there to the customer's contacts.

These social network platforms have their own data protection regulations over which Serenity Worlds has no influence.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers on their pages, as well as a contact option and the relevant rights of customers and setting options for the protection of privacy can be found in data protection notices of the providers:

If the customer does not want any of these plugins to be loaded, it is recommended to log out of the corresponding social networks. Furthermore, various web browsers can be set or supplemented with add-ons (e.g. Facebook blocker) so that the social media plugins are not loaded.

5 Newsletter

If the customer wishes to receive a newsletter offered by Serenity Worlds, Serenity Worlds requires an e-mail address of the customer and other information that allows the verification that the customer is the owner of the specified e-mail address and agrees to receive the newsletter (so-called "double-opt-in" procedure). If the customer wishes to subscribe to a newsletter as a registered customer, he can give his consent to this at the time of registration or later via the registration function in the customer account.

With the newsletter, the customer will receive regular recommendations and offers that may interest him. For this purpose, Serenity Worlds collects and processes personal data regarding the customer's usage patterns on the website, orders placed with Serenity Worlds, and how the customer uses the newsletter (e.g., whether the newsletter is opened or which web URL links are clicked on). Serenity Worlds may analyze this data for statistical purposes in order to better tailor newsletter content to customer interests.

The processing of personal data entered in the newsletter registration form is based on the customer's consent, which the customer may revoke at any time for the future. The revocation takes place either via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter, written notification by the customer to Serenity Worlds at the address listed below, or unsubscription in the customer account. The personal data collected is used by Serenity Worlds to for the content design and the dispatch of the newsletter. There is no disclosure to third parties for their own (advertising) purposes.

Serenity Worlds stores the personal data provided by the customer for the purpose of receiving the newsletter until the customer unsubscribes from the newsletter.

6 Disclosure of your data

Serenity Worlds will not disclose the personal data of customers to third parties. The exception to this is when the customer has agreed to the disclosure of the data to companies that are not affiliated with Serenity Worlds or when Serenity Worlds is required to do so by law, regulation or court order. In addition, when service providers who assist Serenity Worlds in data processing, website administration or otherwise, and in providing the products and services requested by the customer are involved (e.g., package or newsletter delivery service providers). These third parties are required to maintain the same level of security and privacy as Serenity Worlds.

7 Data security

Unfortunately, the transmission of data via the Internet is not absolutely secure. Serenity Worlds works with service providers and ISPs who take appropriate technical and organizational security precautions to protect customers' personal data. However, Serenity Worlds cannot guarantee the security of any data transmitted by the customer. Any data transmission is therefore at the customer's own risk.

8 Your information and cancellation rights

Of course, every customer is free to inform Serenity Worlds at any time - for example in an e-mail - that personal data should not be used for contact in the future. Participation in the special services of the Serenity Worlds website, such as the newsletter service, can also be revoked at any time.

In addition, you may request information about the processing of your data or request a copy of the personal data collected through the Serenity Worlds website.

10 Final Provisions

Should individual provisions or parts of these data protection provisions prove to be void or invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining data protection provisions.
